Like most communities in the North of Ireland, a friendly voice or face can have a huge positive impact on GAA members who suffer from poor mental health.
Knowing someone is there for you means you are never alone.
As a Club we can see the tremendous work the Niamh Louise Foundation do within our community.
We continue to support them when possible through fundraising initiatives such as our annual hurling “Over v Unders” match.
Now more than ever the NL foundation need support.
Their funding from governmental bodies has been reduced to virtually nothing.
They are totally reliant on donations to keep their doors open.
Our Over v Unders 2024 teams
On the 10th of August prior to our showcase Charity game, we had exhibition hurling games involving children from our U12 and U14 age groups.
There was some great skills on show from the youngsters.
Afterwards it was great to see a huge turnout for the main event and a return of older Club players who clearly haven’t lost any skill despite their age.
It was a fun afternoon had by all in the summer sunshine.
We were proud to have raised £1000 for Niamh Louise and thank everyone for their kind donations.
