Our Fantasy Hurling game is going strong since 2011.
It started as an in-house fundraiser for our Club.
We started off with hard copy printed sheets, and this has now developed into a full on interactive website.
“The idea came from Cathal McErlean’s interest in Fantasy Football mixed with an obsession for Hurling, so he thought why not mix the two together?
At that time it was all manual using simple spread sheets and manual input.
Year on Year familiar faces including household names return to challenge each other and have a bit of banter to see who tops the leaderboard.
There is plenty of prizes to be won which includes both individual and club winners.
There is also a Juvenile section which encourages youth from all over Ireland to follow our beloved game.
This competition is held during the,
National Hurling League
and
All Ireland Hurling Series.
