Wellness Hour at Eoghan Ruadh
Our Wellness Hour continued on Thursday August 31st at 7.30pm in the MacGinty room at Eoghan Ruadh Hurling Field.
This week we had the pleasure of hosting Peter Barker who delivered a talk with demonstrations on the Alexander Technique.
Peter qualified to teach the Alexander Technique after completing a full-time 3 year course at the Alexander Technique Training College in Galway and we really enjoyed his informative workshop where 15 people had gathered with painful backs and poor posture.
The Alexander Technique is a profound method of releasing unwanted muscular tension throughout the body. We are born confident with natural balance and beautiful poise.
Over the years, tensions influence our habits, posture, flexibility and pains. If left unchecked, excessive muscular tensions can lead to a whole range ailments.
Whatever your age, ability or state of health, the Alexander Technique can help you get stronger and have more stamina, become more relaxed, think more clearly and recover from injury more quickly.
The Alexander Technique can enhance personal performance across the whole spectrum of human activity. It is possible for practically anyone to rediscover freedom and ease in movement. To feel younger, lighter, taller, calmer and more confident.
