What a Day in Memory of Damian
There is no debate that this day was one which will live long in the history of our Club, the wider Dungannon Community and all gaels who came from afar to enjoy a wonderful occasion in memory of our Team leader, club member and friend,
To all Damian’s friends, work colleagues and sponsors we are eternally grateful for the time that was spent making this event possible.
Such planning and detail went into this day which was named Together for Damian.
There truly was something to enjoy for everyone.
The day began with exhibition games for U8 to U12s with our friends from Kevin Lynch’s Dungiven.
There was some great skills on show from all players taking part. Well done to all.
A fun walk took place around the town with all dressed in a special event Together for Damian T Shirt. This walk led back to the Hurling Fields were the afternoon events began.
We had Carnival activities for both young and old. Everyone enjoyed the challenges in place with special prizes for those who came first.
At 3pm the music began. All Folk’d Up followed by More Power to Your Elbow put on a wonderful performance that entertained despite the showery weather.
This concluded our programme for the afternoon.
At 8pm we headed to McAleer’s Bar.
